Terms of Service

This service is operated by Krivalo (registered officially as Krivalo Computer Programming Services), a sole proprietorship based in Cebu City, Philippines and registered with the Department of Trade and Industry and the Bureau of Internal Revenue. Referred to as Krivalo throughout these terms.

Receipts and card statements carry the registered name. That is the same business as the one you bought from.

You can check that registration yourself: the BIR Registration Seal Badge shown with this page is ours, and its QR code scans through to the Bureau of Internal Revenue. Our full registration details, including our TIN and registered address, are available on request through the Help Center.

In these Terms, “we” and “us” mean that business, and “you” means the person using the service. By creating an account or paying for anything on Krivalo, you agree to what follows.

Krivalo is a web application that produces printable documents. It offers:

• Formal photos — you upload a photo of yourself, and we replace the background and crop it to a standard ID size.
• Print layouts — arranging photos onto a printable sheet at true physical sizes.
• Bulk documents — generating ID cards, certificates and tickets from a list you provide.
• The editor — a design canvas for making the above yourself.

Everything we deliver is a digital file you download. We do not print anything, we do not ship anything, and no physical item is ever sent to you.

Read this one. We do not guarantee that any photo or document produced by Krivalo will be accepted by any government agency, embassy, school, employer or other institution.

Requirements differ between agencies, change without notice, and are sometimes applied differently by different offices on different days. Our sizes and framing follow the common Philippine conventions, but the body asking you for a photo is the only authority on what that body will accept. Check their current requirements before you pay.

Parts of Krivalo use automated and AI-based image processing. That processing is not perfect: it can produce edges, shadows or artefacts that need a retake. Where our processing fails outright, see the Refund Policy.

You need an account to pay for anything. You must be at least 18 years old to hold one. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must open and operate the account, and they are responsible for it.

Give accurate registration details and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has access to it.

One person, one account. Do not sell, share or transfer your account.

You may only upload a photo of yourself, or a photo of someone who has given you permission to use it. If you are making documents for other people — staff IDs, student cards, event tickets — you confirm that you are entitled to use their photos and personal details for that purpose.

You must not use Krivalo to:

• Produce, imitate or alter any government-issued identity document, official seal, licence or credential, or anything designed to pass as one.
• Misrepresent who you are, or create documents in another person’s identity.
• Upload someone else’s photo without their knowledge and permission.
• Upload material that is unlawful, obscene, hateful, or infringes someone’s rights.
• Reproduce a logo, seal or trademark you have no right to use.
• Attack, overload, reverse-engineer or automate access to the service, or work around its payment or usage limits.
• Resell access to your account or subscription.

Krivalo makes photo and document templates. It is not, and must never be used as, a means of forging identification. Accounts used that way are closed without refund, and the matter may be reported to the authorities.

Your photos remain yours. Uploading one does not give us ownership of it. You give us only the narrow permission needed to run the service: to process your photo, to pass it to the providers listed in the Privacy Policy so the requested edit can be made, and to return the result to you.

We do not use your photos to advertise Krivalo, we do not sell them, and we do not use them to train AI models.

The finished files are yours to use for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial. Krivalo itself — the application, its design, its templates and its name — remains ours.

We may change prices. A change never applies to something you have already paid for, and a subscription price change takes effect on your next renewal, not mid-term.

E-wallet, card and online banking payments are handled by PayMongo, our payment processor. We never see or store your card number or e-wallet credentials.

Krivalo runs on a prepaid balance. You top up once, from ₱100 to ₱10,000 at a time, and each photo is deducted from that balance rather than charged separately.

Your balance is prepaid store credit. It can be spent on Krivalo services and nothing else. Two rules that will not change without notice to you:

• It never expires. There is no expiry date, no dormancy fee, and no deduction for not using it.
• It cannot be withdrawn as cash or transferred to another account. Money added to your wallet is spent on Krivalo, or it stays there.

Both of these are stated again on the top-up screen, before you pay. See the Refund Policy for what happens when something goes wrong.

Pro renews automatically — monthly or yearly, depending on which you chose — until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account settings.

Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not end the term you have already paid for: you keep your plan until that period runs out.

Your monthly allowance is separate from your wallet, and the two work differently on purpose. The allowance refills at the start of each month and does not carry over. Wallet balance is money you paid in, and it never expires. When you make a photo we always use your allowance first, so you are never spending money while an allowance you have already paid for goes unused.

A finished photo stays available for three days after it is made, so you can come back to reprint or resize it without paying again.

Those files are held in your own browser, on the device you used — not on our servers. So they do not follow you to another phone or computer, and clearing your browser data removes them immediately.

Download your file as soon as you get it. Treat the three-day window as a convenience, not as storage.

We aim to keep Krivalo running, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. It depends on third-party providers, and it needs maintenance. Parts of it may be unavailable at times.

We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we discontinue something you are paying for on a subscription, you may cancel and we will refund the unused portion of that term.

You may stop using Krivalo at any time and ask us to close your account. Note that closing it forfeits any remaining wallet balance, since that balance cannot be paid out as cash.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms — in particular section 5 — or where we are required to by law. Where the breach is serious, such as producing forged identification, we may do so without notice and without refund.

Nothing here removes rights you have under Philippine consumer law, and nothing here limits our liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

Beyond that: Krivalo is provided as it is. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss — a missed application deadline, a rejected requirement, travel costs, lost income — arising from your use of the service.

Where we are liable, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

We may update these Terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed in substance. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will tell you before it takes effect. Continuing to use Krivalo after that means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, and any dispute falls to the courts of the Philippines.

Please raise a problem with us first. Most things are resolved faster that way than formally.
